An ICS Success Story

Challenge:

A highly distributed and mission critical DoD joint services application was experiencing reliability and performance issues on an intermittent basis, resulting in prolonged and unreliable troubleshooting sessions.

Services Provided:

  • ICS Integrity change detection & management platform
  • Full time Integrity staff engineer
  • Reachback to ICS Virtual Team

Result:

ICS helped the customer deploy the Integrity solution and blueprint the application’s configuration through reverse engineering. Within weeks, the problem was discovered: out of band changes, unscheduled changes, and failed patches/updates were causing application instability. This information was used to drive a stronger configuration management process and drive development to work more closely with production during release management.
