The Certainty of Uncertainty

Boys (and Girls) of Summer

bcpSummer’s almost over. The kids are making their way back to school, and the parents are breathing a sigh of relief. Time has flown over the last three months, leaving in its wake a sandy, chlorine-smelling, airplane-riding, summer-camping, barefooted, late-sleeping bundle of teenage angst. Good times, am I right? But while time has flown by, you may have noticed that none of the lawn furniture or street signs or mobile homes have. Flown by, that is. Because we have had a relatively mild hurricane season so far. Well, last winter was mild too, until January checked in.

The Certainty of Uncertainty

We can debate the human impact on climate change, but evidence suggests that the climate is changing and the weather is following suit. So as bad as weather pattern prediction has been in the past, it is only going to get worse, making it even more important to incorporate business continuity planning into your organizational strategy.

ICS’ certified business continuity planners can help your organization develop appropriate resilience strategies, recovery objectives, business continuity, and crisis management plans according to the following guidelines and standards:

  • Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and US Guidelines (FCD-1 and CGC1)
  • ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management Systems
  • ISO 27031 Information Technology (Business Continuity)
  • National Fire Protection Standard (NFPA 1600: Standard on Disaster/Emergency Management and Business Continuity Programs)

Been There, Done That

Already have a plan in place? Nice work. How about a second opinion from an industry leader in this space? ICS recommends that organizations test their plans and readiness regularly. Call us today and put us to the test. We’ll make the grade.
