Command & Control

We invest heavily in research and development ensuring we drive continuous improvements in performance, quality, and speed of delivery. These investments in technologies such as Analytics and Artificial Intelligence allow you to make better decisions, faster and with less risk. We have one guiding purpose — to be the business everyone wants to work for, do business with, and own. Our focus on this purpose ensures we balance the needs of our employees, clients, business partners, and shareholders. We celebrate diversity in all its forms because we know that our differences lead to innovative thinking and unique solutions to current and future challenges. Our ideal clients:
  • Are value oriented vs. low-price driven. Ours are rarely the lowest priced solutions, but our clients consistently tell us that we deliver the best bang for their buck. We believe that true “value” means delivering a rational mix of cost, quality, speed, and risk.
  • Are mission focused. We have a decades-long history of supporting clients with clear Missions – from the military to the public sector to commercial enterprises. We have found that our best partnerships are with clients that clearly understand their mission and know how to align strategy and tactics to that mission.
  • See IT as a strategic asset, not a cost center or commodity. We are most successful when our clients engage us as a true partner and empower us to deliver innovative, creative solutions to their business needs that drive value. We are least successful when our clients tell us what to do, how to do it, what tools to use, what processes to follow and how to measure performance – all while delivering at below-market rates. Our clients have found that if they grant us the flexibility to innovate we can return millions of dollars in value to their organization.

Our Values

Our values define what we stand for and who we are. They shape our culture, drive our business and are the benchmark against which we hire, promote, and fire. They are what makes ICS unique.
We maintain a high operational tempo here at ICS, and we are keenly focused on GSD. Our employees are hard workers, helpers, self-starters, open-minded and results-focused. Our employees take initiative – they don’t wait for someone to tell them what to do. We believe in working smart and hard – not just one or the other. GSD means we believe that good is the enemy of great and that perfection is the enemy of success. GSD means our people keep an open mind because we recognize that my solution may not be the BEST solution and that we’re smarter together than we are alone. Our employees believe that GSD means we set SMART goals – Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound to ensure we hold ourselves accountable to perform.

UNCOMPROMISING INTEGRITY

ICS is sought out as a partner by both large and small organizations because of our uncompromising integrity. We are known for our commitment – we do what we say, and we protect the interests of our employees, partners, and teammates.

We don’t lie, cheat or steal, or tolerate those that do. Integrity is a character issue, and we’ve found that small issues with integrity quickly become big issues with integrity. How important is integrity at ICS? We ended a relationship with a business partner that was not fulfilling our joint commitments to our employees and our customer. We walked away from $11M in revenue because our partner had an integrity problem.

EXCELLENCE

We believe that excellence means being so unusually great that you stand out from the competition. Excellence means we strive to over deliver, on time and under budget – every time. Excellence means we apply leadership, not management to drive engagement success. Excellence means our team members are continuous learners, engaging in at least 40 hours of training each year. Excellence means we believe we all have a responsibility to teach what we know to others – our teammates, our business partners, and our clients. Excellence means we value and reward performance vs tenure.

GET STUFF DONE (GSD)

GRIT

Grit is the passion and perseverance to achieve long term goals. Grit means we always finish what we start, never quit and never accept defeat. Grit doesn’t mean we don’t fail – rather it means when we fail, we fail intelligently. We learn from that failure and become better and stronger for it. Our innovation and R&D programs deliver hundreds of failures annually, but each failure creates new knowledge that we build and learn from.

Our employees demonstrate a tenacity for achieving their goals and objectives that is unmatched. Grit is the best predictor of success here at ICS.

SELFLESS SERVICE

We believe that selfless service means we prioritize the welfare of the company, customer, team, and self, in that order. Our employees are dedicated, dependable, reliable, and responsive to the needs of others without any thought whatsoever of reward or self-gratification. We react quickly and enthusiastically when we see the opportunity to serve others, and we’re flexible enough to serve on their terms, instead of our own. Selfless service means we never let a teammate or client fail. Our employees consistently give their time and resources in service to their communities, schools, and churches.

Selfless service is exemplified by many of our employees who are veterans that made enormous sacrifices of time, energy and resources in their selfless service to this nation.
