Company to provide development, sustainment and community support for Forge.mil – DISA’s service designed to improve the ability of the U.S. Department of Defense to rapidly deliver dependable software, services and systems in support of net-centric operations and warfare.
Integrated Computer Solutions, Inc. (ICS), a Veteran-owned business which serves as a premier IT services, development and cyber-security consultancy to the US Department of Defense, State Agencies and commercial enterprises, announced today the award of a prime contract by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to provide full lifecycle development, sustainment and community support for Forge.mil. Forge.mil is a DISA-led activity designed to improve the ability of the U.S. Department of Defense to rapidly deliver dependable software, services and systems in support of net-centric operations and warfare.
This five-year award (1 base; 4 option years), made under the General Services Administration (GSA) aligned to certified small business, is anticipated at over $17 million.
Under this contract, ICS will support the entire mission of the Forge.mil program including Forge.mil Community, SoftwareForge and Project Forge. ICS will develop the Forge.mil Community layer using leading open source content management systems to provide a set of social collaboration tools to enable the Forge.mil user community to connect with and follow the activity of other users, self-organize within sub-communities or groups, and discover shared software to download and reuse. These tools allow teams and individuals to share, manage and exchange content, knowledge and information in a more ‘social’ environment and include the following capabilities:

- Group-based Collaborative Wiki
- Threaded Discussions
