By now, you’ve probably read or heard just about every aphorism there is about making the most of a crisis, including the one about the two Chinese characters that translate into the word “crisis.” In case you haven’t, one of the characters translates as danger and the other as an opportunity. This dichotomy is often cited in motivational speeches, political speeches, and now cybersecurity blogposts. If you think about it, a crisis presents both sides, but we rarely focus on the opportunity side. This might be especially true with the current crisis when the danger of the virus has us all sheltering in place and finding out more about our families than we really wanted to know.
ICS is focused on the opportunity side. Sure, we take the threat seriously, but we also know the talented people in black hats shelter in place most of the time, sequestered in their digital worlds wreaking havoc on any vulnerability they can find. The same might be said differently of the clever people in the white hats, the ones keeping an eye on the prize, the ones trying to discover vulnerabilities before they are exploited.
Shelter In The Right Place
ICS is continuing to grow in an industry that seems to know no bounds, and we’re always looking for talented people. If you like to get stuff done with uncompromising integrity, if you want to deliver transformative IT results and solutions with predictable results, and if you try to exceed expectations while continuing to improve and grow in your professional practice, we should probably talk. You might want to shelter in the right place and help us make the world safer. Worth a conversation, at least.
