“Veterans are a symbol of what makes our nation great, and we must never forget all they have done to ensure our freedom.”

Memorial Day is the day we, as a nation, stop to remember and reflect on all of those who died serving the United States of America.

We set aside this special day to thank them for all they have done in service of this great nation, remembering their sacrifice and selfless service to all of us. Let’s not forget to honor the over one million sailors, soldiers, marines, airmen, and coastguardsmen that have sacrificed their lives for this great country. And let’s also not forget those who have survived while suffering broken bodies, mental anguish, and shattered families because of their selfless service. On Memorial Day, we honor and thank those colleagues, clients, friends, and family members for the sacrifices made in dedicated service to our nation.

While we’ve turned the corner on the COVID pandemic and have begun to return to our previous work schedules and work sites supporting the mission, we are now facing economic headwinds, supply chain challenges, and a pending recession. Now, as much as ever, we are asked to sacrifice to support our countrymen who support those on the front lines around the globe. It’s a noble sacrifice.

Many members of our ICS family have served in the military and choose to serve still in the case of Guard and Reserve. And the majority of our workforce supports classified military missions that require regular access to government facilities and introduce risks to them personally and their families. I want to thank you all for your courage and service to our country. We pay the price of freedom through the courage of those willing to sacrifice for what they believe in.

So, this Memorial Day, please take time to reflect on the sacrifice others have made for us, and take a moment to thank those around you who are making selfless sacrifices in support of this great nation. Military personnel, government civilians, contractors, and essential workers deserve our thanks and support.

Be safe, and have a great Memorial Day.
