Millions of American military veterans have honored us with their service. Tomorrow, we set aside a special day to honor them and thank them for all they have done.
As an Air Force veteran, I have seen and experienced firsthand the demands and rewards of military service. Frequent and extended periods of separation from their families, challenging compensation levels and demanding work schedules are difficult for everyone – especially our veterans. Despite these challenges, I saw the deep patriotism, pride, and commitment these men and women have made to protect our freedom. On Veterans Day, we honor and thank our colleagues, clients, friends, and family members for their dedicated service to our nation.
ICS has long and deep ties to the US armed services. We have continuously served the US Air Force and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) for 20 years. Today, we are recognized as an exceptional company to work for by our employees and our peers. This is largely because we are a company committed to serving those who serve — through our community support to organizations such as AFCEA and Paralyzed Veterans of America, as well as our commitment to hiring Veterans first whenever possible.
Many of our ICS family have served in the military, and I would like to extend my personal thanks to you all for your courage and service to our country. The price of freedom is paid for by the courage of those who are willing to fight for what they believe in. The greatness of America is founded in the bravery and heroism of men and women who stand strong in the face of oppression and conflict. You ignite the enduring spirit of our nation and strengthen the unity of the American people with your commitment to freedom, justice and democracy.
So, this Veteran’s Day, please take time to thank a Veteran for his or her service. And if you are a veteran, please accept my personal thanks for your service to our great country.
Be safe, and have a great Veteran’s Day!
